Learn español

espanol

This week, I started teaching a new Español class. I love first days because of all the anticipation, curiosity, bravery and “muchas ganas” that I see on my students after deciding to embark in an unknown adventure and learn a new language.

Español is such a beautiful language, full of history and diversity. It is the third most spoken language in the world and there are 20 countries where Spanish is considered the primary language. In the United States, there are over 50 million of Spanish speakers and that makes it the second largest Spanish speaking country in the world after Mexico.

Learning Spanish is not just acquiring a new skill. It is immersing into a new culture and traditions. It will help you to understand other point of views and will open you to new ways to see the world.Currently, I teach children and adults and I love that the audience allows me to implement different approaches and resources. I will be posting about my Spanish teaching on this blog.

If you are studying Spanish right now, keep it up. If you are thinking that you want to, give it a try. And if you are a mom living in a different country where Spanish is not the first language, please consider teaching it to your kids. I know, it is not that easy but it will be sooo worth it!

Do not give up. And let’s roll our “R”s.
